Crime rate is a significant concern for any society as it directly affects the safety and well-being of its inhabitants. Puerto Rico, a beautiful Island located in the Caribbean, unfortunately faces a challenge regarding its crime rate.
One of the areas in Puerto Rico that has gained a notorious reputation has been La Perla neighborhood in San Juan Puerto Rico. The La Perla neighborhood  has historically had a bad reputation due to its high rates of crime and poverty. It has been synonymous with drugs and gang activity and is often referred to as "the most dangerous place in Puerto Rico".
